Type A test block is suitable for sensitivity comparison test of two different penetrant flaw detection agents in the case of non-contamination, and is also suitable for sensitivity comparison test of the same penetrant flaw detection agent in A different process. However, due to the large size of the crack, it can not be used for the performance identification of highly sensitive testing agent.
Type B test block is mainly used to verify the sensitivity of operation method and process system; It is usually used against plastic reproductions or photographs.
Type C test blocks are used for the same purposes as Type A test blocks, but mainly to identify various penetrant properties and determine the sensitivity level, because the crack width and depth of Type C test blocks can be controlled.
Precautions for the use of penetration test blocks
1 The penetration test block shall be cleaned with solvent before repeated use; Wash with a hard bristle brush and dry for later use.
2 Penetration inspection procedures shall be carried out on the penetration test blocks in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer of the obtained flaw detection agent.
3 Two sets of penetration test blocks shall be used for fluorescence detection and colored penetrant detection respectively, because the fluorescence display of fluorescent penetrant in the test will be affected after the use of colored penetrant.
4 After use, it should be cleaned thoroughly in time, and all traces of penetrant flaw detection agent should be eliminated as far as possible, and then soaked in acetone or alcohol for 1-2 hours. Whether the cleaning is timely and thorough after use directly affects the service life of the test block.
5 Test blocks should not be placed in a dryer or soaked in anhydrous alcohol.
6 The test block shall be replaced in time if it is found that the original feature of the defect cannot be displayed during use
