Chrome Plating AS2083/2005, BS2704/1978/1983 Dye Penetrant Inspection Test Block
A test block with the size of 130mm×40mm×4mm and the material of 0Cr18Ni9Ti or other stainless steel materials was chromium plated on one side, and three radial crack areas were formed by applying different loads on the back of the block by Brinell hardness method. The location numbers were 1, 2 and 3 in order of size. The position, spacing and other requirements shall be in accordance with the relevant provisions of Type B test blocks in JB/T 6064 -- 1992. The crack sizes correspond to crack location numbers 2, 3 and 4 on JB/T 6064 -- 1992 type B test blocks.
The chrome plating test block is mainly used to check the sensitivity of the penetrant detection agent system and the correctness of the operation process.
If it is found that the test block is blocked or the sensitivity is reduced, it must be repaired or replaced in time.
The test block should be thoroughly cleaned with acetone after use. After cleaning, the sample is stored in an airtight container containing a mixture of acetone and anhydrous alcohol (mixing ratio by volume: 1∶1) or by other effective methods.
